Join the USCG Auxiliary
Who is the U. S. Coast Guard Auxiliary?
As an all-volunteer organization of the Coast Guard, the
Auxiliary has its own uniqueness. Members come from many diverse
backgrounds and join together to contribute their time and
talents to the common cause of recreational boating safety.
The members of the Auxiliary, as civilians, are pledged to
support the mission of the Coast Guard and are counted as
an important part of Team Coast Guard.
New members are always welcome in Flotilla 58. Also, there
are many other Auxiliary flotillas throughout the New England
area who are looking for instructors, vessel examiners, crew
on patrol boats, ATON and Bridge checkers, and many other
skills.
What are the basic requirements for joining the USCG
Auxiliary?
In order to join the USCG Auxiliary, you must :
1. Be a citizen of the United States of America.
2. Be seventeen years of age or older.
3. Pay annual dues of $47.00 as a Member.
What are the benefits of joining the Auxiliary?
After the brief Basic Qualification course, you will be entitled
to wear the uniform of the Auxiliary and to train to participate
in the four cornerstones programs of the Auxiliary.
Public Education
You may want to qualify as an instructor, mentor, or master
instructor for boating courses for the general boating public
or membership training.
Operations
You may want to study and practice to become a coxswain or
crew person. You may also choose to train as a Private Aid
Verifier, to Adopt a Bridge, or perform MSO patrols and other
support missions.
Vessel Examinations

Fellowship
Fellowship is enjoying associations with peers who have the
same desire to serve and who enjoy the wonderful world of
