DIRECTIONS
Flotilla 58 holds meetings and public education
courses at the Old Colony Yacht Club which is situated at
the junction of Dorchester Bay and the Neponset River on Commercial
Point. The famous Rainbow Gas Tank, a large white tank painted
with a rainbow, and the Rainbow boat ramp is next to the OCYC
on Victory Road.
Directions if you are coming from
south of Boston on the Southeast Expressway:
Take the Freeport Street exit which is just before the Rainbow
Gas Tank, Turn right at the bottom of the ramp. The club is
at the end of the road on the right.
Directions if you are coming from
north of Boston:
Take the Southeast Expressway south. Exit at the South Boston
exit [The exit you would take to go to Bayside Expo Center,
the Boston Harbor beaches, and UMASS, Boston campus]. Keep
to the left on the ramp and turn left at the bottom of the
ramp. Pass the Columbia T Station and take the next right
onto Morrissey Blvd. Stay in the left lane. After you cross
over the Morrissey Blvd Bridge move into the extreme left
lane at the next traffic lights. Turn left, passing behind
the Toyota dealership, to a stop sign which is Victory Road.
Turn left. The club is at the end of the road on the right.
If the club door is locked, ring the bell. Meetings and classes
are usually held on the second deck.
